ElectroSenses – Journal of Bioelectromagnetics, Environmental & Functional Medicine is a fully open-access journal. To support high-quality peer review, editorial management, production, and long-term archiving, the journal applies Article Processing Charges (APCs) for accepted manuscripts.

There are no submission fees. Charges apply only after peer review and acceptance.

Pricing Principles

APCs are structured according to:

  • Editorial and peer-review workload
  • Manuscript complexity
  • Production and archiving requirements

The journal aims to keep fees moderate, transparent, and proportionate, in line with non-commercial open-access publishing standards.

All Article Processing Charges (APCs) are stated exclusive of applicable Value Added Tax (VAT). VAT will be added where required under applicable tax regulations.

Waivers and Discounts

The journal may consider partial or full APC waivers in justified cases, including:

  • Authors without institutional or grant funding
  • Submissions from low- and middle-income countries
  • Invited contributions of exceptional scientific value

In addition, members of the platform “Environmentally ill? Where to?” receive a 10% discount on the applicable APCs.

Waiver decisions are made independently of editorial decisions and do not influence peer review.

Payment and Transparency

  • APCs are invoiced only after acceptance
  • Payment is required prior to publication
  • APCs do not influence editorial decisions
