Aims and Scope

ElectroSenses – Journal of Bioelectromagnetics, Environmental & Functional Medicine is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to advancing the understanding of interactions between bioelectromagnetic phenomena, environmental factors, and biological systems relevant to human health.

The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for basic, translational, and clinical research across genetics, immunology, pharmacology, physiology, and pathophysiology, with an emphasis on systems-based and integrative approaches within environmental and functional medicine.

ElectroSenses aims to facilitate the translation of fundamental scientific findings into clinically relevant knowledge by publishing high-quality research addressing molecular, biochemical, cellular, and systemic mechanisms, as well as their implications for diagnostics, prevention strategies, pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

  • Bioelectromagnetics and bioelectrical signaling in biological systems
  • Electromagnetic field exposure and experimentally or clinically observed biological interactions
  • Environmental exposures, toxicology, and environmental health sciences
  • Redox biology, mitochondrial function, and cellular energetics
  • Genetics, epigenetics, and gene–environment interactions
  • Immunology, inflammation, and immune regulation
  • Pharmacology, pharmacodynamics, and drug–environment interactions affecting biological systems
  • Physiology and pathophysiology of adaptive and maladaptive biological responses
  • Systems biology and network-based approaches to health and disease
  • Functional and integrative medicine research grounded in biological mechanisms
  • Translational and clinical research linking mechanistic findings to health-related outcomes and therapeutic strategies

The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic and narrative reviews, methodological studies, clinical investigations, case series, and consensus or position papers, provided that submissions demonstrate scientific rigor, methodological transparency, and appropriate ethical oversight.

ElectroSenses is committed to maintaining high standards of peer review, research integrity, and publication ethics, and seeks to promote constructive interdisciplinary dialogue across biomedical, environmental, pharmacological, and clinical sciences.
